I did a search and only found one post that had both of these terms and that did not answer the question, so here goes:

Will the CLM6000 optoisolator work in Tim E's Uglyface?  I have a bunch of these lying around and was hoping I could save the trouble of buying/building an opto for the circuit.

Erm..how many is a BUNCH? I could use a half dozen for some "authentic" Anderton projects (or the Neutron).

I think I have about 2 dozen that I bought surplus off ebay a couple of years ago.  I have not tested them, but the few that I used did work.  I'd be happy to sell or trade some to you PM me if you are interested.

For any who are interested, I finally had an opportunity to build the Uglyface today using a CLM6000. Works like a charm.  A filthy, dirty, oscillating, godawful sounding beautiful, beautiful, charm.  I think I'm in love.
