switch for the buffer in wah

Guys i wanna remake my CryBabe and add a buffer to the output.
I'd like to have an option to switch the buffer off - shall i just put a dpdt switch at the buffer-input? Can the DC path from battery to JFET, which is gonna be connected all the time influence the signal when the buffer is off? The FET will probably suck some DC current from battery but i'm not sure how much of the signal can "leak" through Drain-Source-Ground path.. Is it recomended to use 3pdt switch and break this line as well? Just wandering ....
