I have a trimmer (100ohm - not even a trim "pot" so to speak - more like just an adjustable flat "disc") and it has three legs.
Two of the legs are in the circuit and the third leg goes to ground. When converting this to a full size pot - do I have to put that third lug of the full size pot to ground ? should I bend the third leg over to the case and solder it - then ground to the case ?

Thanks, Dan

i dont think you need to ground to it the case. you could just run a wire from the 3rd lug back to the same place that the ground of the trim came from. or any ground on the circuit.
