I need help on how to make a rack mount box that will take a single guitar/bass output and split it into several equal signal paths. Then allow them to be switched on and off or any combination on/off with MIDI control. My guess would be relays controlled by a programmable microcontroller. I am not sure what type of parts as far as specifications or what's rated as the best for the job.
This would allow you to have a guitar or bass to plug into the unit and be split up so you can have different effects devises plugged into different signal paths. Then by having one or more on at the same time you get different parallel signals that can be mixed and blended together for some very thick sound combinations. Then all of the signals would be demultiplex back and directed into an amp or more that one amp for stereo or quad ECT.
If anyone can make suggestions or advice on how to start this project, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jeff
