Tonepad Rat: Problems

I just built a tonepad rat with the Ruetz mod.  For some reason, I'm getting a lack of....sound!  It's strange:  it's almost like an envelope filter with the sensitivity turned up.  No sound comes out unless I strum pretty hard, and you can forget single notes.  All my resistors and capacitors are correct, and the wiring and pots are fine.  I cannot figure this out. Any advice?

  Check the bias on the opamp.
  Report back from the 'Debugging' thread with all the good debugging schtuff...if the info doesn't make the problem show itself to you first.

My advice would be to read the "debugging what to do when it doesnt work" thread and maybe take some voltage readings on the ic in that rat and post em up here. Johno
