Hi guys

I've bulid a Green Ringer with tonepad shem sometime ago. I could'nt find 2N5088 & 2N3906 so ordered from Small Bear. I've used 1N4148 instead of 1N914. I've tried the circut with power supply its working but humms so much.  I've tried with batteries it doesnt give any sound. When i put a booster in front of it like a TS808 it sound but not properly.

Any one can help ?
PS: Pedals I've built works proper at first time. It came strange...

Perhaps some AC from the power supply is getting into the signal, try a battery...see below.
Consider the PS filtering as v'important, I can only guess how much is there.

The best and easiest [well usually] comparator test for power supply 'cleanness'.
It should work with the battery, stating that it doesn't work brings up many questions in my mind, answers to which would depend on greater detail about the tests and problems associated with using a battery to supply power:
How's the battery taste ? Is it dead ?
*There is Verified non-continuity [no shorts] at the battery clip*? [..under all possible DC jack conditions with a mono 1/4 phono plug in the input jack?
Battery get warm when connected for a time? .. don't connect a battery until is established*.
What happens if DC from a battery is fed through the DC jack via a DC plug to batt-clip adapter?
..if it works with a PS through the DC jack, a floating 9v [say via battery] at same jack would/should make it work too.
When i put a booster in front of it like a TS808 it sound but not properly.
The GR's sound 'wierd', whether that is the same as 'not properly' or the circuit isn't debugged would be a better question in a new thread.
Is the Green Ringers output about unity with bypass volume?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
