Hi all,

I am building brackets to put my pots, jacks, switches and others... around my breadboard.
I had always used DPDT SW. with millennium circuit so I never used a 3PDT switch.

What are the size of the 3PDT (with the blue box and the connectors)  ?  I have to think before in case I buy one someday and want to put it on my brackets.  But even then I don't know if I still have an off space left.

I used the SEARCH function and did not found something.

Thank you !

I tried to scan a switch to label it, but I just used an image from the net instead because my scans won't turn out. I just did these measurements on my calipers. There may be differences between individual switches, but these are from a RoHS compliant switch from Pedal Parts Plus. Maybe some are different from others? No idea.

Oh, and I forgot to label the threads. They are 11.75mm which is .15mm less than a 15/32 hole.

Damn, I miss labeled the length too. It's 37.75 from switch to bottom of the base, but 42.15 from switch to end of the leads. Which also proves the point that these aren't super accurate because my math doesn't add up.

It is not really urgent, but as said, I think I did not seen those on the forum.
So, yes it might be usefull for others as well...

Thanks Mr. E-H

P.S.: Is it in the wiki ?  That may be usefull ?

Frank,
The standard "blue" 3pdt switch dimensions are as follows in american:

Post Dia= .460
Post threaded length = .465
button dia. = .397
button height above top of threaded post = .397

Body length = .760
body width = .680
body depth = .640 (from top of boss at the base of the threaded post to the bottom of the body)
length of solder lugs = .192 from base of body.

P.S.: I calculate in metric but use imperial tools.  That is how it is working here in Canada !  ;D
