Hi,

I have an empty bos enclosure (boss ds2) and I don't know what i can put into.
So I tought build a fixed wha, like MXR Q zone ou keeley nova with more controls. In fact, my pedal has 4 holes for pots and one hole for one switch.

My idea consists to make a fixed wha which can transform in a standart wha wha pedal when an expression pedal is engaged in the remote jack (I could use lrd, probe sytem, or rocket pedal)

I want to use a simple circuit (without inductor) whit transos or Chips.
I found 2 schemos :
the idiot wha here

and the coulorsound inductorless, here

I want add a kind of boost, to have some "gain" whit the filter to have a kind of "overdrive tonale sound". this pedal coube be used a filter (as a simple wha) or a "tonal boost". So f have you ideas to create something like that ? I could add a clean boost before the wha circuit or maybe there's something to control the gain of the transistor presents in the wha circuit ?

Have you anothers schemos for a similar project ?
Have you ideas to have 4 controls for the wha ? I thought: "Vol","Drive","Q"and "Wha". and one control for the switch.

thanks

Not what you want to hear, but I swapped the .047u tone pot on my strat with a .01u and when I turn it down all the way it produces a resonance that is amazing. It's a "fixed wah" sound and with distortion creates some incredible harmonics and in general the tone control is much more useful too. I use this sound a lot now. Before the swap it sounded too dull and was not resonant (and the tone control just wasn't useful at all- went from bright to dull with no range in between). Anyway, this is a super-simple fix and achieves that kind of sound without building a separate box. Adds a lot to the tonal pallet of the guitar too.
