Hey All,

I was wondering about the above technique as stated in the Wiki to roll of some of the high frequency content.  Specifically, I like a warmer kinda tone so I was applying this to all of my fuzzes/overdrives.  Then I started wondering if all these caps would have a cumulative effect of rolling of more treble even while the pedals are in bypass?  Or, do that caps only work on the (added) harmonics created by the OD?

Thanks!

John Lyons

When the pedals are in bypass then the volume control, cap and anything else in the circuit are bypassed.
Assuming you use a true bypass switch...
With true bypass the input jack is connected to the output jack, nothing in between but the switch and a little wire length.

Oh yeah, right.  I feel pretty dumb.  Thanks John!

No, don't feel bad. At least you asked....
Now if you put the cap across the input or output jacks then it would be always "on".
