Sorry, I had no idea where I needed or should post this topic. My guestions and topics are about installing LED's in a tube amp head. This is just for looks and nothing more. I really like the look that Genz Benz Heads, Line 6 HD147, Diamond Heads and more with the glow of LED's inside the head. So would anyone have any idea how I would need to go about doing a project like this to my head. I own a Peavey Valve King 100 Watt Tube Head. I would like to put LED's inside the head for looks and nothing more as I said before. I have no schematics or anything on my amp head. If anyone or anybody has any advice to give, then it would be very much appricated. I have no idea about how to go about wiring or anything on doing a project like this.
I hope someone here can help me or refer me to someone who can help me out. Thank you very much.

Here is pics to give some ideas to everyone:

NIN is the best.

You can get Blue LEDs at 6-15V, which you can wire in parallel to the heater supply. In theory.

Yeah, that would work only if you've got a rectified heating, with AC current, the diode will be blinking.. (even if you can't see it, that would be bad for the circuit). You can plug a diode (1N4007) in parallel to each LED, reverse-sided, but without forgetting to put a bias resistor.. ..that will heat up!

The best would be to use a dedicated transformer (for a couple of LEDs it doesn't need to be a big one), plugged onto the 110V in parallel with your power transformer. You don't change anything in the amp design that way.

But be carefull, if you want (like me) to put LEDs under tube sockets, don't remove the metal clip in the center of noval sockets, it holds it in place! (I just broke mine that way)..

Make a simple half-wave rectified supply from the heaters (just look at how the bias supply of any amp is wired, but connect to heaters instead). Using a separate transformer seems like overkill.

indeed, this is what i had in mind too but forgot to mention it.

OK, do any of you have a schematic for the Peavey Valve King Head? Because I would really need some help in knowing what I am dealing with. I do not know alot about how to go about doing something like this. I would sorta need step by step directions and maybe a schematic would'nt hurt to have as well or a drawing or whatever.

Oh yeah I was wondering something. On the ValveKing there is a metal grill on the front and the back to protect whatever is inside the head. But I was wondering if I can remove the metal protectors off the 12AX7 Tubes? I mean do these metal protectors really need to be on the tubes if the head has front and back metal grill protection? Would it hurt anything if I left the protectorts off the tubes?

But anyway if anybody has a schematic or can find one for me because I really have no idea what I am dealing with.

Thank you

Protectors on the 12AX7 as in, metal cases/tubes that sit around the tubes?  If you mean those, they're for shielding of the tubes.
To those about to rock, we salute you.

Framus does that too for their cobra amp
You can see that they have the leds attached to the top of the head (see backshot)

Framus has their schema's on the site, and there you can see that they rectify the 6.3AC supply and use that to feed the leds...

lamer17, don't take this the wrong way, but you should not be poking around inside your amp until you've read up on the safety issues. Withour even being plugged in that amp can kill you.
  Go here:  http://www.ax84.com/safety.html
about half way down the page, read BUILDING AND SAFETY
