?Advice as to whether to take this apart or live with it the way it is.
This 1/2rack unit I bought wayyy back whennn, re-appeared last week.
I somhow had  forgotten about lending this one..last week it appeared before 2 tube amps here, hafta say I didn't fully realize what an excellent purchase I'd chosen...in the early 80's IIRC.
Very nice has seen some weather-wear though, in particular the Echo Mix knob allows 9.5 setting, all the switches need cleaning or replaced, they work but like the old slide switches do when they're old slide switches, or push-in:in/push-again:out types.
Just compiling a plan, it is a very tight unit, strategic approach planning seems like it'd be worth the while.
About ready to re-face it and make it fully functioning, reliable and ungley, or leave it alone and use the Chorus side more, Echo side less.
The jacks have 'casual rust' look to them but otherwise look fine, it's the mini-slider pots and switches that 'follow the corrosion suit'' where corrosion on jacks and switch contacts share common histories.
As usual, it's a good idea to post here, perhaps some other folks have positioned refurbished Rockmans in their gearchain and would share experiences or other 'rich data' such as where to find some the exact-right-fit replacement components.
I opened it long ago and cleaned stuff up, lost the screws and taped 100.7FM WMMS is Buzzard Radio stickers across the sides [perfect fit..lol].
I recall it looked like a foreign sports car under the hood...

Personal opinion: fix parts that affect function, but leave the wear and tear.  ;D

I always loved seeing used equipment in the pawnshops... gouged corners, stickers, masking tape knob relabels (i.e. Dist. gets relabeled "Bend 'er over!")

I say function over face... a pretty girl is just that if she doesn't have a brain to back it up. Nice eye candy, but not much for having a conversation with.
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!
