OK- So I built this Fun Factory and it turned out great. I followed the info below but had to use for 10kb pots instead of a few required 5kb's and 2n404 germanium transistors w typical fuzz face values and all was good. I have never actually played one before but I compared it to YouTube examples. I was wondering though- It almost has a sort of "scrambler-ish" sounds to it in a few different places. Is this normal?

By the way- there are a few useless layouts out there floating around. I went through 1 before comparing it to the schematic and the wiring was WAY off. So – as many others around here have stated- use schematics!!

Moderator Edit: Please do not post ZVex schematics.

I understand- i wasnt sure as I had found previous posts that included schematics ect.. withzvex commentary ( such as the sho and 2 in 1)

No.  The scrambler is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy better, mod q2 like a Bazz Fuzz or COT and stick a buffer on the end.                ;D

I ordered some more transistors that I plan to pop in and see how it goes from there. It looks as though Im going have to buy "the real deal" just to be certain.
