Hey there, i recently picked up a Boss OC-2 octave pedal on ebay. i notice though it warbles. kinda on the low strings. any ideas what could be causing this. if you play a low E or G or something the notes flutter up and down in pitch - kinda like a stuttering.

This is the next harmonic triggering the note. Using an EQ in front of it, adjusted so that the gain is max at the low end & decreases as you increase frequency, might help.

What gauge are your low E and A strings?  Octave dividers tend to like stiffer strings, and strings fretted in positions that make them stiff.

Just about any compressor (even a crappy one) before the OC-2 will help dramatically.  Same with the Whammy pedals.

OK , I will open my ears as I play 1/2 of the time with that effect...
Thanks...

Yep.  A note with few harmonics and a consistent level is the way to make things like that track well.  It does filter some highs internally, but the easier you can make its job, the better it will work.
