I just got one of these cheap on Ebay, it's the red MXR-sized pedal that supposedly has germanium transistors and a buffer to make it work with wahs better.  It has the usual recent Dunlop construction, board-mounted pots, jadks, and switch, and I haven't taken the time yet to take out the board and look at it.

Tried it out through my Fender Princeton with a light overdrive after it, and it doesn't sound half bad.  I was playing my SG, my Strat is taken apart at the moment.  I did notice a little ring modulation sort of weirdness in the top end (not in a good way), but that might be a bias issue.  Didn't try it with a wah in front yet, but it definitely is in the Fuzz Face ballpark.  I'm planning on getting the board out and checking out what trannies they put in this thing, might socket there and try some of the germaniums I've got laying around.

Does anyone know if this thing has bias trimmers in it like some of the other recent Dunlop FF stuff?

Also, it has a board mounted dpdt switch and an led, so I guess not TB (weird, most FF's, vintage and Dunlop, are TB, why isn't this one?  I suppose they didn't want to spring for the 3pdt).  Would be hard to make TB, not sure if it's worth the effort.

Once I check out the components, I'll see what can be done with it.  Anybody ever mod one of these?

Might be pretty handy if I can get it tweaked, I like the small footprint.  Someone recently posted about these, so I thought I'd share my impressions.....
