Looking to get a specific tone, and build a pedal for it

Hey there,
haven't been on these boards for years...

Im looking to build a pedal that can give me a specific tone all at once, or at least the basis for which to get it.
Said tone is: the intro to bodysnatchers by radiohead, Perhaps I can use the shredmaster distortion that they use, but I feel like I might need something else.

Im not completely sure how to get this kind of a tone. It's similar to a lot of Muse tones.
What I've thought of before is just cascading gain stages perhaps 90˚ out of phase each time?

all fuzz

nasty kind of fuzz, speaks silicon all over.... try for the dirty sanchez fuzz, or any other design that aims to 'sludgy-misbiased-cheap fuzz' sound

even i'd say you can get that sound with only one transistor, as its not so much gain, get on your breadboard!
