ok I've been looking at everything I can find for the Bazz Fuss, but now Im starting to think its not what Im going for. I plugged a Si Fuzz Face with a bias control into my bass the other day and changed the socketed input to suit the bass and wow, nice fuzz sound... but not what Im wanting....
I use Jazz basses and stingrays into an ampeg svt-3 and 4x10. I like the things that the HAO rust ride does for bass more of a little grit and frequency boost type thing, I really like the motorhead sound on ace-of-spades... I just need some ideas on how to get this and do you think the bazz fuss might accomplish it. or what to build to get it...

I did a schem for the FUSS with diode selection and input cap selection with an added control between Q1 and ground for dirt, I just dont want to waste my time with it being that I am going to have to order all the parts for the next box I build.

thanks for advice

That motorhead thing sounds like a cranked marshall to me.

I think Lemmy used a Marshall 1986 Super Bass. You may wanna look at that schem and adopt it (ala Runoffgroove) into a stompbox.

If you like the HAO why not use that?

The ROG Thor was based on the Marshall Super Lead. There is a thread here somewhere discussing how to modify the circuit to be more like the Super Bass.

Sorry I don't have time to search for it right now, I'll try later.

the marshall super bass was an amp, the supa fuzz is a tonebender style fuzz pedal-  two very different animals.

I started plugging in guitar pedals last night and to my surprise ...
Creampie boost Verson 2 was exactly what I was looking for..... Sounds good with slap, finger and pick attacks.Nice overdriven sound and still lets the bass' bottom come through only set at about 3/4  full blown you get some more hair but no where near a fuzz, very very nice....

MIght give the thor a try on bass to though.

Thanks for all the input.
