Tubescreamer Presence Control???

I had replaced the 1k in the feedback of the tone stage opamp with a pot (I believe I used a 5k or 10K pot).  When turned up it boosts the second stage higher frequences (set by the tone control) into saturation.  I've found the pot behaves a bit like a presense.

You might want to look at the LTD schematic that Dave Barber just posted to see how he implemented a "presence" control.

That's what I did on a couple, even a 25k pot on one, footswitchable on both pedals which also adds an incredible boost that varies with it's pot and the tone pot.
Really makes the TS circuit come alive!

I agree.  It did make it come alive.  A very nice mod.
