My RV-3 (and all - or the majority of - Boss RV-3s, don't know if this was fixed in later versions) has a slight interruption in the sound when turning it on/off. It's like a fraction of a second, but when turning it on/off in a middle of a passage it's noticeable.
Schem:

Is it fixable? If so, is it an easy mod?

Also, Analogman does a mod to this pedal (he also does it to the DD-X series pedals): basically it cuts the high end out of the repeats in the delay modes, so that it has a more analogue-y feel to it. Anyone knows what this mod is all about?

Am I seeing things or the schem for the PS-3 is the same of the RV-3?

I don't think it's something you can improve upon by modifying the pedal. The delay is the time it takes for the algorithm to generate the first reverb sound. It has to sample a portion of your signal before it can make up the reverb to it.

If it bothers you your best option is to build a blend box that lets you blend in the RV-3 (or any other pedal) with your dry signal. They you leave the RV-3 on all the time and simple toggle the wet signal on/off on the blend box. For fancy points use an expression pedal to control the wet/dry mix with your foot.

In the RV-3 and the DD-3 the wet and dry signals are mixed in the analog domain (at least when it's in delay-only mode) so you can introduce a filter on the wet line to modify just the repeats. His mod does just that: it puts a high cut filter on the wet line before the mixing occurs.

I don't have any experience with DD-3s, but do they also have that 'delay' when turning on? Well, it's more like a hickup, because during that fraction of a second there's no sound at all (not even dry, uneffected sound).
