What kind of radius do the tran. sockets have?

I'm wiping up some PCB's and would like to include some. I don't have any on hand that aren't already on something though.

So when designing the PCB, how much room should I leave around them so resistors, caps and the like don't interfere with them? I'm pretty sure the spacing on my PCB maker is all 0.1"x0.1" or something like that, if that helps. Also, they would fit in regular perfboard with one pad between the back two leads and the middle lead out infront on row right? Does that make sense? I hope so.

Thanks for any help!

You know what, now that I think about it, I want something smaller.

Where do ya get those small, single pin socket things? They look like a bunch of little bullets that you can split up into single things?

Or would there be something better, socket wise?

Thanks  :icon_mrgreen:

Man, I am so useless. Just found them on smallbear.

Another thread bites the dust.

I measured 1 and found it to be 0.390" Dia.   They take up a lot of space though.  I started using the inlines too.

Thanks for doing that. Glad you did the same thing, minus the useless thread  :'( :P

No problem.  I take more from this place than I can give back, like many I'm sure.  Least I can do is whip out the caliper since it is inches away from the mouse.
