Hey folks, I have a bit of experience now building and modifying stuff, and I really want to try a tube distortion/od pedal. I'm looking for something with scooped mids and a bit more bass than treble, though not as pronounced as say the Big Muff. I was reading in some of the other tube pedal discussions (the valvecaster, the peppermill etc) that the big muff tone stack and tubes don't get along very well, so I was wondering if anyone had any good circuits floating around. Any ideas?

Notch filter from Superfuzz, replace the switch with a pot, I think Mr. Hammer showed a 10k there.
Duncans tonestack calculator is one fun, informative, and powerfully educating ride, remember if the lines are higher that means at that frequency the gain higher = louder, lines near the top of the screen indicate less passive losses  than ones near the bottom, adjust the line shapes to fit your needs.
