Well, other may have better advice, but for starters, I think I'm really liking the Panasonic ECG 50V series in general, which I found and bought through Digi-Key...can't speak for other vendors.  But it meets your specifications...in fact the ones I have are far smaller than the 16/25/50V Xicon electolytic caps I got from Small Bear, for example, so I will probably stick with these from now on once those run out...

Here's some data:

Breadboard it!

Will these do?
They are all salvaged from TV's etc. Hence the short prongs, Still long enough for strip and perf board though, not sure about PCB as they look a bit thicker! never actually used PCB.
3 of each value, 16v and 50v. But one of the 100uf is only 10v. All 7mm in height.
If you want them i will send all 9 to make it worth sending. Trade wise,.... I'm having trouble getting hold of J201 transistors. so, a couple of them would be great!!!

I've got some 100uf 16v that are 5mmx5mm. If that's any good PM me your address and I'll stick one in the post.

If you end up having to buy some Maplin in the UK has a good range of small electros.

Small, but big enough not to be too fiddly (the 1206 ones, that is):

Invest in some tweezers (surface mount) and forget about replacing electrolytics every few years (these are ceramic).

Thanks Slacker & Gez
Yep Gez, this multilayer ceramic chip
could be a good alternative to electrolytics !!
Merci et à Bientôt,

The only thing you have to remember is that they're surface mount (need to be soldered to the copper side).  Not necessarily difficult to work with (once you get the hang of the soldering technique) as in this case the larger value caps are quite proud (height wise) in comparison with 1206 resistors and are easier to handle.  You do need tweezers though: although they're large enough to hold in place with your fingers, once you start soldering the heat will soon make you realise it's a bad idea (ouch!)
