I love my Tech 21 Double Drive

I love it before my compressor, its just everything I want about rock.

after I get better at pedal making, and since its discontinued and I don't need the features of the Double Drive 3x, I think I'm going to clone it with some interesting mods:

Since it uses Opamp Rail Clipping more so than Clipping Diodes, I'm going to incorporate Discrete Opamps.

Also, I've figured out a way to make it double as an A and/or A/B Overdrive, meaning, a second footswitch can be used to toggle between the A-A/B settings, or add them together in stock form.


I will of course document this as much as possible and share.  Whadya think?

I've still got one! but i don't like the stock bypass and the enclosure could be more durable, you know?
