386 with a Fender tonestack?

Has anyone tacked on a Fender tonestack to their SmashDrive, Grace, Big Daddy ect..  Everyone seems to lean towards the Marshall tonestack.  Just preference??

More heavier sound thru marshall's tonestack..
Fenders is good on clean sound
