which direction to put my pots

Im building a rebote 2.5 delay. should I make it so that the pots are facing "up" (the side with the resistors and caps) or "down" (the side with the copper contacts). I really dont want to wire it backwards from left to right or right to left.

Im sure the answer is really obvious sorry.

If you're looking at the back of the pot (not the part you turn), the lugs are numbered 3 2 1 from left to right. This is also how they tend to be oriented in most diagrams.

This means that in the tonepad layouts the PCB is component sides up, and the pots are facing down.
