FF/TB - 10pF at the input?

Guys can someone explain to me what is the seldom seen ceramic cap at the input of Fuzz Face/Tone Bender for? It is connected between base of the first tranny and the ground. The signal is not even distorted there, i don't understand how it works. Thanks.

I believe it helps prevent the fuzz from becoming a radio receiver.
