The TL2272 is recommended for the tonemender but the data sheet says it can only handle 8v. I was looking to run it on a 18v dual supply for the most headroom. It also says a TL072 can be used which can go to 18v dual. Dont have either of those but do have several OPA2134s sitting here and by the data sheet looks like it would work well off the dual 18v supply. If Im reading the data sheet right. "OPA2134 max supply voltage V+ to V- 36v with max +-18v supply".

The OPA2134 or TL072 will be fine on a +-18 volts. I don't think you need that much headroom though, a guitar signal's only likely to be a couple of volts at most and the gain in the circuit is only really to make up for the volume lost by the tonestack, so I'd think +12 to +18 volts would be more than enough.

By the way the TLC2272 is rated at +-8 volts not 8 volts total.

The TL072 data sheet was very clear about its power. The OPA less so and the the 2272 was not very clear at all. I have the OPAs in a drawer so no buying needed. And I have 24v CT trans Im going to be running 2 low voltage tubes off of. I plan to run the at the tail end of the 2 tubes as a tone stack and volume control. The buffer at the input of the tone mender is going to be used in place of a cathode follower tube. I want to place a switch after the buffer to be able to switch between 2 tone stacks and 2 vol control.
