boss cs-3 compressor no sound when effect is off

Hello All

I recently modded my cs-3 and it was fine but when I turned off the effect I got no sound. Ive been looking at the schematic that is out there but found no success in figuring out the signal path when effect is off. can anyone help out and point me in the right direction??
