building a fuzz face... what should the third knob be?

I think an external bias pot is necessary on a germanium FF, the bias range can vary a lot in different temperatures.  I replaced the 33k bias resistor with a 50k bias pot (on the board), and I'm in the process of putting a 10k with a small resistor in place of the 8.2k, with an external knob.  Similar to the Sun control on AnalogMan's Fuzzes.  I would consider that a priority for a third knob.  Just my opinion.
