is it possibly to have spice show rail limiting when running frequency/amplitude simulations?

i'm studying an op-amp gain stage in the clipping region, but it seems like if the op-amp is setup to give gain in the hundreds (20-30dbs) the rails and bias have no effect.

Now I CAN see the simulated clipping when I do a Transient simulation, say with an 800hz signal at .5v and play with the gain of my circuit.  But is there anyway to get the Amplitude vs Frequency to reflect the output rails?

Sir H C

AC simulations are small signal linear, transient shows large signal response.  I don't think you can get an AC simulation to show clipping.

I concur, however you can do a parametric sweep varying say the frequency of the AC signal source in transient mode.  This will give you some idea of frequency dependent behaviour.

thanks, i needed that clarification.
