I made a pretty fun little distortion amp out of a 386 and love playing it through one of my cabs.  I really want to experiment with it some and couldn't think of a better group of people to ask.  Can you put the 386 in front of anything? I know you're actually getting a little bit of half-watt or something like that but would it fry stuff you put after it?  Like if you were to run the output into another amp or pedal.  Thank you a lot.

You could probably run it into something else.  Check out Dano's Tufnel distortion.

yeah, there's lots distortions out there that use the 386.  IIRC one of the uses of the smokey amp was that you could use it as a preamp directly into your amp.  It won't hurt anything.
