I just wired up my rev01 board and have double checked connections, placement and component values of ICs, caps, diodes. It's getting late so I'll finish the resistors tomorrow.

I used the parts listed in Charlie's BoM whereever possible ordering from smallbear and mouser. I have a CD4047 in place of the CD1047

Bypass is fine but when I engage the effect there is very little output, no flanging is audible but the signal is heavily distorted or fuzzed.

Trimpot 4 alters the output going from a (quiet) high pitched whine through most of the travel to white noise at one end.

The range knob cuts the output when turned below 10 o'clock. Threshold knob gradually cuts output from quiet to zero. Other knobs and the harmonics switch have no effect.

I'm getting 18.0 v at the input

Test points

All legs on Q1 read 7.41v

It's ironic that the BYOC flanger was announced today  :icon_rolleyes: but I'd really like to get this project going. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated

Did you install the jumpers as described here?

And, did you check the wiring of JK3?

Also, while pads A thru H can be used as test points, their real intention(s) are described in the first link above.
Check these things out, then check out the calibration  notes.
All the Best!

doh I had overlooked the notes and haven't installed an expression jack.

three jumpers at points C, D and E and then another at JK1 to make up for my lack of expression pedal and it's alive. :icon_mrgreen:

this has been and is the absolute high-point of my stompbox journey. a great build and less trouble than I've had with many other, simpler projects.

I'm so stoked that despite sitting on a completed PCB for almost a year I have beaten the release of the ADA reissue and Ibz's Airplane flanger.

thanks to everyone here for their contributions
