I built the ROG little gem Mk2 and am pretty happy with it.

I wanted to put it in a smallish enclosure as a combo for a travel amp and I found an old stereo box that it fists into nicely. Problem is the speaker in there is 6 Ohms (4", 15 watt peak if you were wondering). I know that ROG says this circuit works for "speaker 4 Ohms and up", but would it be worth my while to tweak this for 6 Ohms specifically? My Basic Elec. class experience is telling me I should, what do you guys think?
The layout I used.

You're using an LM386 so no, I wouldn't bother impedance matching.

Forgive the newbish question, but what is it about the LM386 that negates the need to match impedance?

OK, I went ahead and wired/boxed it up. Easy build for sure, only problem is this little speaker doesn't have much bass response, at least not as much as the 4x12 I was running it into before. I wonder why?  :icon_rolleyes:
Little more noise than I like, but it IS a plastic unshielded box.

I like the fact that if you set this on the ground or a desk it points up at your face. Also tiny and weighs nothing, perfect for a travel amp. If the noise keeps bugging me I'll line it with foil or copper tape.
