I want to sell my mid 80's Ibanez AD9 to get a different Analog Delay, but the footswitch has some issues. Sometimes when I step on it the effect will come on, then when I take my foot off of it it goes off. It's acting kinda like a momentary switch at times.

I don't want this to effect the sale price, so how could I go about fixing it?

You'd have to decipher if the problem lies with the switch, or with the electronic switching.  Or worse yet, with the mechanism that presses the switch.

Got it. The switch is inside a spring that is pressed by a protuberance from the pedal. There must have been a piece inside the spring at one time that helped put the necessary pressure on the switch that fell out.  I just cut a piece off of an old dish sponge and stuck it in the spring. It works perfectly now.
