i generally build fx with around 10-15 knobs.

and one to three perf boards. very complex stuff.

i am finding that the B or C sizes just arent big enough for all the electronics.

or often the amount of pots.

so i want to find a box that will be very big and deep enough to either stack 2 boards or lay them flat in a wide length.

however when i go on mouser or allied or ebay, there are so many options and i dont want the box to be so tall or giant that it doesnt work for stomping.

so....any ideas? dimensions?or brands/models?

thanks so much

I find it funny how I can have close to 1000 components, yet I never seem to have enough parts to make a project. :icon_eek:

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Parts Express and Amazon carry the Hammond 1590-F which
measures 7-3/8" X 7-3/8" x  2-1/2", and it's the largest I've
found in a die cast enclosure. I'm looking for one even bigger
for a toob amp.
Deception does not exist in real life, it is only a figment of perception.

LMB heeger sells some large enclosures.  Like the ones beavis used for his fuzz lab:

Go to their website and check out "desktop console enclosures" or something like that.  Similar to sloped hammond sheet metal enclosures but a bit cheaper.
