I've never heard it but if the difference between this and the dr boogie is anything like the difference between a Dual Rectifier and a Mark II, then you can expect the boogeyman to be crunchier, less fizzy, and less scooped sounding than the Dr. Boogey.

I built this but it didn't have much gain, only overdrive sounds were available. I'm not sure I didn't do some mistake, however. I used J201s for the transistors. You can find the schematics here:
