Hello!

I am planning to build a true bypass pedal as my first project (http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/articles/elbypass.html).
I ordered an 1950A enclosure for it, but now I started to doubt the wisdom of that.

Do you think I can fit four enclosed 1/4 inch plugs and a 3PDT switch in this box? I gave up on using a battery with this one, so it will be 100% passive. I was also curious if I can power a LED with something smaller than the standard 9 volt battery.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I think you're talking about a 1590a enclosure right?  If thats the case then, yes it is possible to fit 4 jacks and one switch.  You might even be able to fit the battery too.  here's how I do it:

Set the box up 'tallways' and put the switch at the bottom, and 2 jacks on each side.  You might be able to fit the battery along the bottom, under the stompswitch.  You can also power the LEDs with a DC jack if you're using a daisy chain.

my very first 1590A project was a true bypass looper :

no problem w/4 jacks and an LED - no battery for me though.
