Two channels and two tonestacks, ideas?

So I put my big amp project all together (but for the sake of the forum, let's call it a big stompbox project  :icon_biggrin:) and it works well with the tonestacks in bypass.  However, I thought I would make it so that each channel could use either of the tonestacks.  Each channel runs into its own buffer, then into a dpdt switch to select the tonestack (a passive bax and a normal 3 knobber).  The problem is that each dpdt switch then goes to the channels volume control.  This makes it so that both volume controls affect both channels simultaneously.  Is there a way I can make it so that this doesn't happen?  I'm sure there is, I just can't think straight right now.  Any suggestions?

From how i have read your question to me it would seem that you need to also switch the volume control from each chl over, you could do this with a 4pdt switch. This way the tone controls could be viewed as a 2 seperate blocks that switch between each chl. Alterneratively you could use op amp switching in the same way by using a dual opamp which switched between the 2 opamps with a control pin (ie  5201 opamp)You would need 2 of these in the same config as the 4pdt switch. I hope i'm on the right track.

maybe it should be like this:

                             BAX-EQ
                            I         I
Channel 1 buffer-> I DPDT I -> VOL
                            I         I             \
                             3B-EQ                \
                                                        >Power section or what ever
                            BAX-EQ              /
                           I          I            /
Channel 2->buffer I DPDT I -> VOL
                           I          I
                            3B-EQ

each channel has a volume control that is independent of which tonestack your using, one tone stack might have more loss than the other.
have in mind that here you can't use the same tone stack on each channel at the same time, unless you make 2 baxs and 2 3-bands.
i hope i got it right if not please add some schem of the section.
