Hi, I did the Boss CE-5 Vibrato mod as shown here:

--However, the shape of the vibrato oscillator sounds like a squarewave, like it's just switching between two notes, and I'm really hoping for something more smooth...  Any suggestions?  I know this pedal has very few modifiable parts, but if there's anyway to change the few that are to get something more usable, it would be great!

Do a search for " boss ce-5 vb-2 " I had a vb-2 and have a ce-5 ( analog version ) and I wrote down some tips for getting the ce-5 to sound more like the vb-2. I would not bother doing anything more  to a ce-5 its, a good pedal and you can get a lot of good sounds out of it as is.
Class A booster , Dod 250 , Jfet booster, Optical Tremolo, Little Gem 2,  mosfet boost, Super fuzz , ESP stand alone spring reverb red Llama omni-drive , splitter blender ,

NEVER use gorilla glue for guitar repairs! It's Titebond , Elmers, or Superglue

Look for C25, a .01uf cap.  Increasing it to .1uf or something in that ballpark will add some lag and make it a more "sluggish" turnaround at the extremes of the sweep.  Feel free to experiment by tacking different values of caps on to the solder pads in parallel.
