Hi all!
I am trying to modify my master series Ibanez CSL - http://filters.muziq.be/model/ibanez/master/csl
While there's no schematic for this pedal available online for free (and I'm still not as desperate to buy one), I'm referencing from this one: http://www.schematicheaven.com/effects/ibanez_sc10_superstereochorus.pdf

When effect is on, there's a considerable volume boost. I am trying to remedy this.

First I looked at the R20-R21 voltage divider (just before CP2). I increased the value of R20 and it did fix the volume boost problem, but also reduced the amount of chorusing to practically none. Then I realized why, but that's besides the point.

I would like to ask, is there a known solution to this? has anyone successfully level out the volume of effect on end effect off on these shoruses without loosing the amount of chorusing?

Also - which capacitor colrols the depth of modulation on the MN3101? Is it the C27?

Thank you very much!

Hi!

Wet signal path can be attenuated relatively simply by increasing value of R23/R30 resistors. Dry signal path must remain untouched in bypass mode, therefor it's bit more complicated - IMO easiest way would be to interrupt path from IC2 pin 7 to junction of C18 and C20 and put some kind of controlled attenuation there, e.g.:

(where Qx gate would be controlled by same signal as Q9 and Rx2 would be adjusted to desired attenuation - Rx1 and Rx2 could be replaced by one trimpot as well).

Or you may consider true-bypassing (overal volume of effect could be adjusted by altering R32, R29, R30 and R31 (or R32 or R33 :)))..

Depth of modulation (if you are talking about depth of sweep) is not controlled by any capacitor, but maybe I just don't understand question - what is it you want to achieve here?
