Cleaning up the Mini Booster?

I have a board etched for the GGG version of the AMZ Mini Booster...
I've built one in the past and it had a little more grit to it than I wanted, so I want to make a cleaner version. Are there some part subs that I can make to clean it up a bit?

Thanks!

2 Suggestions: (note, I haven't tried either, just based on things I've heard)

1- Run it at a higher voltage, this will give it more headroom, less breakup
2- Use some lower gain fets, or change resistor values to lower the overall gain of the mu amp, this will provide less gain, and therefore less 'dirt', but less overall output.
3- Build the MOSFET booster instead  ;)

I knew I would get people telling me to build something else! hehehehe I just have the etched board ready to go which is why I was asking about this particular circuit.
Silly question- which resistors would I lower?

I suggest that you make R5 into a gain control with a 5K pot wired as a variable resistor. It will crackle though. :'(

RedHouse

Mess around with C2 (the 3.3NP cap)
