So I am reading the article in "DEVICE #1" and getting psyched up to build an awesome trigger module to make a cool synth and then I get to the part about needing a delay line or you get pops. Is this true? That sucks. Anybody attempt this module?  I am trying to sweep an uglyface in reponse to pick attack. Kind of the way the microsynth does it.

The AMS100 may be overkill if you simply want to use envelope-driven sweep with an uglyface.  The trigger/gate generator in the AMS100 unit attempts to define when a new musical event starts.  An envelope follower makes no such assumptions or attempts.  It simply "floats" in response to whatever you're feeding it at the moment.  Hence, no pops.

Sounds like you want an ADSR - a regular envelope follower isn't going to sweep slowly upward like the Micro Synth. There are a couple of threads about "triggered envelopes" around here, try that, though it can be somewhat complex to do well.

Yeah, thanks for the responses. I tried a couple of methods so far and I can get the first note to sweep slowly, but then you hit a second note and the envelope just adds to the first because the first one hasn't decayed yet. I'll search the threads.
