Moebius trip: anyone built one and like it ? The chip is 12.50$  I am looking too at different chips from Smallbear (different projects) to minimise the customs fees % on the overall price.

Thanks.

Man, i think id have to buy the pcb to pull that one off.

Anybody here build it? Any clips?

IIRC it sounds pretty much like the Lofi Loop Junky and The Tone God's original Payback - which makes sense, since it uses pretty much the same technology. As the Lofi Loop Junky's name implies, it sounds a bit lofi, but not like a megaphone or anything. Cuts a bit of highs and lows from what you put into it. I'm pretty sure the Mobius doesn't have vibrato, but I believe this can be implemented with an LFO controlling the power going into the V+ pin of the ISD chip.

I built the Mobius. It is great for me because I play so bad I can't get anyone to jam with me.  I don't feel bad though because I've only been playing for about 35 years;just need a little more practice.  The Mobius is alot of fun and great for practice and composing.  Mine is kind of finnicky, sometimes I have to unplug the power jack and plug it back in to get it to work. Maybe because I think there are unused inputs that should be tied to ground.  The info is on the forum but I didn't bother to do it yet.  Once I get a loop recorded it's usually okay til I get ready for something else.  Also search forum for schem to wire for one stomp recording and one stomp play.  GGG schem requires two stomps IIRC.

The only thing is, 20 seconds is really short. Also, you can only save one loop at a time.  If you use this for a few days, you'll have fun but you'll really, really, really want a more powerful one.  I know I do anyway.  Just haven't been able to bring myself to spring hundreds of dollars for it yet.

Yeah, I looked at all the available DIY loopers, and came to the conclusion that buying one is way better. There are many loopers out there right now, one to fit the needs and budget of nearly anyone.

It seems pretty cool to build your own, but unless you can live with a little pause between recording and playing, short time, and most frustratingly NO OVERDUBS, then you can get something way better by just buying.

Have you seen this http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=74979.msg610162#msg610162 not to blow my own trumpet but as someone who's only been playing for 18 years and is still a begginer I love it.

Yeah, I just downloaded this, looks like just what I need.  Thanks for the link!
