My first layout: will someone check behind me?

It's late and this is my first original (somewhat) schematic and vero layout, so I suspect there is an error or two in here somewhere.  I would appreciate it if some of you sharper folks would take a quick look and check it out before I go and start soldering things...

This is an OD based on the Trotsky Drive.   I added a bass rolloff pre-gain and an AMZ version of the Stupidly Wonderful Tone Control tone control post-gain.  The clipping diodes are switchable out of the circuit so it can also act as clean boost.  The schematic works, or I should say the circuit on my breadboard works and I have done my best to alter the Trotsky Drive schematic graphics to reflect what I have done.   This is my first vero layout and also the first time I have tried to use the DIY Layout Creator, so I am sure there are errors or at least the potential for improvement.

Thanks for looking at this!

This is from a quick look:
Gain pot looks to be in parallel with R1, not in series. I don't see anything else obvious. Good job!

Yep, I see what you mean Aron, thanks.

I changed the layout to (hopefully) solve the problem.

Found an issue with R4 and updated the layout above.

Layout updated and made smaller.  I appreciate any other eyes on this one.

I built the thing and the layout is verified.  It's a nicely compact circuit for a decent sounding little OD with a lot of control options.

Nice work!!

Whats it sound like, can it be compared to something else IE fuzz, tube overdrive sound........ or something else?

Here's a sound clip, Strat into a '69 Bassman with 4-10 cab.  It's low gain, a little crunchy, sounds like what it is, clipping diodes to ground, a pretty familiar sound.  And with the option to bypass the clipping section  this thing makes a pretty good clean boost as well.

After much experimentation the only change I made from the basic Trostky drive section was to use 2 1N914 diodes.   I think they sound much more clear and natural than the other types I tried.  With subtle use of the bass and tone controls I added I am able to dial in a tone pretty close to the bypassed signal.  It's not Timmy tramsparent, but it definitely doesn't add much coloration or compression.

I built the pedal in a prismatic box painted by Pedal Parts Plus.  I used an RGB full color LED and created a custom aqua blue/green color for the overdrive setting and green for the clean boost setting.
