Which Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz is correct?

I just came accross two schematics for the Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz which looks very simple to build and I thought I might give it a go. Problem is, one is + ground, one is - ground. Yet the schematics are identical. Don't you have to switch the transistors? I can't imagine it would work the same with both as the base voltage would be either positive or negative depending.

Its a positive ground. Also the resistor on q1 collector is wrong on both.
This is probably the first Classic Fuzz by Mayer:

The transistors are AC128'S
