How would I go about this? I assume hooking up the power and ground is simple, just to the same spots on the jack, but I'd like to make it so I can switch it on and off using a SPDT Toggle instead of a 3PDT. I'd like to have a bypass and an one posistion, but am unsure which part to get, and how to wire it. Will this work: http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=38 , and how would I wire it? Thanks for the help!

I think your best bet would be to get a DPDT toggle, which small bear has, and wire it up similar to the 3PDT switch, just without an LED. With a DPDT switch, you would be able to switch the input and the output of the circuit. Not sure where you want to place it in relation to the other circuit, but if it's before, just disconnect the circuit from the in jack, insert the new circuit before it and connect the output of the first circuit to the input of the second. Or switch it around if you want the new circuit last.

Try to think of it as two seperate pedals, just hooked together with a soldered wire instead of a 1/4" cable.

I think you might get away with the SPDT.

The middle is the common, connect to the input 1/4" tip.

One side of the switch's contact to the 1st effects input on the board and the other side of the switch's contact to the other effects input on the board.

Throwing the switch will then complete the path from the instrument to one of the two boards.

The problem may occur in housing two effects in the same box.

Not as far as switching is concerned between the two boards but, interference from one effect to the other. If this does occur and I've never done this but, this is where the DPDT switch maybe used to also kill power from one effect to the other.

Just a thought!

Since I've breadboarded it I can only blame myself.

But It's Just A Chip!
