I would like to implement a single DPDT switch that would allow for switching between headphone and speaker mode, thus eliminating the need for a second jack. The object is to have the resistor and capacitor section eliminated when speaker mode is selected. Here is the wiring diagram from GGG:

This is a schematic I have drawn based on what I said previously:

Switch is currently in position 1 (headphone mode). Will this work?

I have been a member here for a while, I didn't realize I have never made a post though. Sorry for the lack up introduction.

Could someone take a look at this and let me know if its correct? I am 90% sure this is alright, but it is always good to hear someone agree with you.

Hey, the circuit looks like it will work just fine.  Just be aware that if you use a mono output jack you will only get audio in your left headphone when you plug in your phones.  If you replace the mono output jack with a stereo one, you'll have to be careful not to ground the output when you use a mono plug in the stereo jack.  You'll probably need to wire it a bit differently.

to add a stereo jack wouldn't i just connect the Ring and the Tip together?

That would be fine if you were only using a stereo cable, because then Ring, Tip and Sleeve would each have their own path down the wire.  If you plug a mono cable into a stereo jack that has the ring and tip bridged, you'll be bridging the tip to the sleeve, by way of the ring and sleeve being bridged.  In other words, the output will go to ground.  This is because mono cables plugged into stereo jacks will bridge ring and sleeve connections.  This is how many people make a pedal turn on by plugging a cord into it.
