McMeat Upgrade (I just can't get enough)

this is just a brief suggestion in case you use a mcmeat and use effects in the send-return loop... for instance I really like octave down sound and fuzzes on envelope filtered sounds... and you got to put them in the loop to get a reasonable sound. but then, your octave pedal is lost... what if you want to use it on its own?
the solution is in the LP-BP-HP rotary switch. luckily I used a 3P4T in mine, so I had an unused position. (plus too many unused lugs)
here is a cheap schematic of the thing:

this way you can use the meatball as a "bypass box" in this fourth position... with even the blend function available (which is always nice playing bass)!!

enjoy!  ;)

This is a cool idea. I might just have to check it out. My McMeat envelope just quit on me so I have to open it up anyway. I was thinking of just putting the effects loop into the bypass switch somehow.

How would you make a notch filter...like the mutron III+ ?

Radamus

Would it be possible somehow to have your DPDT switch go like this: In connects to either effect in or send, out connects to either circuit out, or receive?

Just a thought. I have a suspicion there would be issues with it not being true bypass anymore, or some tone sucking from the other things that connect to send and receive. Might work with a 3PDT, but I'm not really thinking about it right now.

the notch filter? I believe I had it...  :P the 4th position was for LP+HP which should correspond to "notch"... the result was really similar to BP to me, I've been waiting long time for a proper application for that switch position...

@ Radamus: that was pretty much my idea about loop and stuff... I settled to this easy solution I posted, but I'm sure there could be better solutions... we'll see...

Where can I find a McMeat schematic and/or layouot?

Sorry to interrupt the thread, but I have yet to find this circuit in the usual places.
