Guys , built an Omega from scratch ... No sound...  checking it out  I found that if I'd wiggle a part , it would work  (chopsticking)  re flowed the solder , then another part would do the same thing...  after a while it got to the point where I'd move the board and it would work ,until I took the tension off the board ...   reflowed All the solder connections (Txs removed from sockets) ...now Nothing at all ...  Grrrr!!!!

May just have to start over on another board ... something EVIL going on in this one ...  any suggestions ???

  There's something intermittent.
When it's intermittent..wiggle but try to 'isolated' wiggle, to try to narrow down what, when wiggled goes on / off .
Grab or mount the board down to stress relieve here, stress slightly there.
When it's not working take voltage measurements, audio probe.
  Oh...and continuity tests.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Pete, did as you described , found it   (bad ground as per usual)   BIG Thanks, Pete ... !!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

once, after many desperate hours of wiggling, changing transistors and resoldering components, i finally discovered tha it was a wire that had been cut inside so start with a continuity test. i hope you figure it out

Yet another nice pedal from the Geezer 8)
SO were we right?
Do ya love it? Try placing it in front of or behind your FF when you get that fixed.
I like mine alot but my enclosures arent as pretty as yours though.
Is that those little Testers paints for the lettering? what did you use this time?
The more I use mine the more uses I find for it a very versatile pedal indeed.
Now build Gus' Rocket and use em together for some insane tones.
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D

BRY, That was a "blem" box   (I couldn't find any?)   and Testors black with a "rigger" brush (very long tip), thinned with mineral spirits...  done in my best "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" calligraphy style ...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l_j4Qc4UCk

It really does add a nice sparkle to my otherwise dark sounding guitar .... NICE !!!!     :icon_biggrin:   Drives the heck out of the Octal Ones ... which usually need a little "kick"...   :icon_lol:
Gus's Rocket huh ....????   I'll have to see if I can find it in the archive... THANKS  for the tip!!!! ;D
