Wiring A Stomp Switch To MyTonepad Dynacomp(mp3)

My Tonepad Dynacomp is up and running but i have yet to fit it in a case and switching. Is it possible to just connect input to output to bypass the effect and use a seperate pole on the switch to switch an led/ resistor combination? So in theory could i get away with a 2 pole on/off switch?
I'm really chuffed with the sound, here's a clip i did earlier.......

Is it worth building an orange squeezer in the same box with two switches?
