Hey guys any of you have the schem for the carbon copy? a pcb layout would also be much appreciated since it would save me time from designing the pcb.If you feel it would be controversial to post here pls email it to me at darryl_portelli@hotmail.com.
thanks guys

How much do you know about that pedal? I have been wondering what kind of BBD chip that thing uses with the gut shots I have seen it doesn't look like there is room for some of the classic BBD chip in there. So I have wondered if they had a new chip designed.
Class A booster , Dod 250 , Jfet booster, Optical Tremolo, Little Gem 2,  mosfet boost, Super fuzz , ESP stand alone spring reverb red Llama omni-drive , splitter blender ,

NEVER use gorilla glue for guitar repairs! It's Titebond , Elmers, or Superglue

I will take a look. I have one lying around.

I saw one of these recently at the flea market, still in the plastic wrap and perfect box for 80$. Looked like a good deal but I don't have 80$ :P

Is it nice? I've never heard a clip of one.

I like my Carbon Copy. It works much better with an adapter than a battery. It has a mod bottom which adds a bit of chorus to the delays. You can adjust the width and depth of the mod effect by a couple trim pots inside the pedal.
Buy it for 80 if you can. Even if you don't like it you could probably turn around and sell it for more than you paid.
Consistency is a worthy adversary

i think it's a SMD copy of mxr old green delay, and it's not easy to made SMD at home.

I heard some clips on youtube and from what ive heard its very good. the delays decay smoothly and naturally(the analog part plays a role in that) and if someone would give me the schematics Id desigin a pcb and post it. Btw I have no idea how this pedal works!!! Ill try to understand when I have a schematic.Thanks.

I don't know how close a copy it might be.  The original had 300ms delay.  The carbon copy has 600ms  and the ability to modulate the delay.

Here's a good demo (not mine) of the original MXR delay which Mark Knopfler used live in the early days of dire straits: http://www.mk-guitar.com/sounds/MXR_delay.mp3

I saw carbon's PCB photos and made some compares with scheme, they look identical (sorry, link to photos is lost, I spent some time to find good sounding simple analog delay schematics).
And people use some mods from green mxr analog delay on carbon copy, this is another reason.

afaik, mxr in carbon copy uses bl3208 or v3208 (i have forgotten original chip name, but it's not mn3208) BBD instead of SAD1024A.
